An email should not be used as a mechanism for any kind of sarcasm. As whenever the person has access to his emails, he could take a look at those emails and that could permanently damage the situation.
Also equally important is to ensure that the email is NOT responded to, when in a foul mood. When we are really angry on some email and want to teach the person a ‘lesson’, make sure that we give ourselves some time to cool down and then respond. As an immediate response could be seen as a reaction rather than a response and could cause irrevocable damage to the business. Also, it might not solve any issue, but could certainly create new ones for us.
The purpose of writing an email always has to be to get a desired response, rather than spoiling the relations.
